nursing online
I am thinking about getting an LVN license from an online college… Is it difficult finding employment with an online nursing degree?
One of my cousins has had a good experience of taking a BSN program Online through Independence University. He is already employed and has all good things to share about the online nursing program. However, that’s not the case with all the nursing programs which proclaim to be accredited. You need to be vigilant and ensure that the nursing program you are enrolling into is accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Independence University offers both BSN and MSN nursing programs through distance learning. Check out their website to know more about these nursing programs. Good luck!

traveling nurse
Hello, I am going to be a new graduate soon as an Rn. I like to keep myy options open as there are plenty of opportunities for this position. In my reasearch I saw American Traveling nursed online. I see they send you on assignments short term or long term..whatever you desire. They also accomodate family too. Has anyone had any experience with traveling nursing and relocating??
Thanks
I was a traveling nurse for 6 years and i loved it with all my heart. the pay was GREAT, and i could write my own ticket, meaning i could choose where to work and for how long. all relocation expenses or even temporary housing is always covered. lots of perks. but….. here is what you need to consider. I WOULD NOT recommend a new graduate become a traveling nurse, you have to have very fine tuned skills, experience in almost all areas of the hospital, you have to know everything there is to know about nursing, and the laws, in order to protect yourself. Travelers get very little orientation usually. we are sent in to "save the day" so to speak, so we must learn very quickly and be able to walk into ANY situation in any hospital and function with confidence in our abilities. travelers have to be able to function in very high stress environments without the training that the regular staff has had. your critical thinking skills have to be sharp. and that comes from experience.
it’s different if you get a long-term contract, though. then you are like any other employee with the same training and preparation. somethimes hospitals will decide to hire you as a regular employee. but that is never a gurarantee.
check out Nursefinders, i have worked for them for many years. they take good care of their nurses. good luck and God bless!

nursing classes
What class(nursing school) did you take and was it manageable? Did you work at the time and would you recommend taking nursing courses while in nursing school during the summer?
Check the link below, it may help you
