nursing classes
I was wanting to go to school for lpn. They would not let me take any of the pre requiests for the lpn program because I did not have a high enough ACT score. They put me in Sociology, beginning Algebra,Principles of Biology and Principles of Biology Lab 1, and Human Growth and Development. Should I take these classes.
Since your score wasn’t high enough I would go ahead and take the classes…….You will need these courses ONCE YOU DO get accepted into the LPN or the RN program anyway.

Is it that your math isn’t strong enough yet? I’d suspect so, if you’re starting out in beginning Algebra. Colleges normally have to make you wait to take certain classes until you reach a certain level of math and English.
And that’s the one thing I don’t see on your schedule - Freshman English. If you’re required to take that, or if you placed too low and need to take other English classes first, make sure you get started on those!

I’ve thought about going in to nursing but I don’t know where to start. If anyone could please help with some type of info I’d really appreciate it. I work for the prison but I don’t want to stay there forever. It changes your out look on life.
You need to apply for a nursing program. Depending on which one (LPN, ADN or BSRN) will determine the length of the program and what pre-reqs you need to take. Search on line for nursing schools in your area.

i do not have a nursing degree yet.
I’m pretty sure there is no difference. CNA stands for Certified Nursing Assistant. You need to sign up for a class at a school. It involves practice in the classroom and on-site training (you work at a clinic or hospital.) You need a certain number of hours of clinical training to be able to qualify for your CNA. Once you have completed clinical training you take a test, which is half written and the other half you have to perform 5 random skills (washing your hands, and four others, like brushing a patients teeth for example). If you pass, you can get a job anywhere like a nursing home or hospital.
